    How can I shorten the date on listings page

    how can I shorten the date on the listings page?? rather than saying November, I want it to say just Nov. any pointers much appreciated

    I was able to do this by going to wordpress admin>general settings

    and choosing a custom date format, which i entered as "M j" (without quotation marks)
