Leave a Reply section

Hello,
Is there anyway to remove the Leave a reply section in the template? Or, when someone leaves a reply does it
send an email to the original person who posted the item telling them there is a reply?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can control whether the "leave a reply" box is there from the actual WP settings (just disable comments if you don't want it).

Yes, the seller is notified if a message is left for them on the ad.

I assume you mean the comments section at the bottom of the ads? Yes, you can just turn off comments within WordPress and that section will go away.

You can also install a plugin called "Subscribe to Comments" which puts a checkbox at the bottom of the comments and will email you if you select it.
