Limit user access in wp dashboard

    Hey guys!

A few days ago dcowgill told me that he's gonna implement an edit function for the contributor accounts so they can edit / modify their posts.

However, I found a way for users to edit their posts, set new user default role to Author instead of Contributor.
The problem with this is though that when they log into the dashboard, they have access to things they should not be able to see/be able to edit!

So what I'm looking for now is a plugin or a way to edit the dashboard so that when an "Author" logs in, they only see the Posts tab with the add post and edit posts tabs!

If anyone knows about this please msg me or reply to this post

haha if you want to block everything but the user pages like thier profile then dont use the role manager plugin, its way over kill.

    Use: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-hide-dashboard/
