    Payment and Publishing Question

I have activated the paypal payment for certain categories which means I have to approve the ad when a payment is made. My question is for the categories that do not have a price( free to post ) can they be published automatically?

    Thanks by the way.

Did you try publishing a free ad to see what happens?

    Re: Payment and Publishing Question

    I just tested the demo.

I tried to post an ad to a free category.

I selected the Pets > Dog category which is $0 cost.

    But ad is not appearing.

In My Dashboard, the ad says "awaiting payment"

When I click on the PayPal link, the PayPal description is

Description: Classified ad listing on ClassiPress Demo for 350 days
    Unit Price: 0
    Quantity: 1
    Amount: 0.00

    Re: Payment and Publishing Question

I disabled paypal payments and all ads published themselves fine. So I enabled paypal again and retried posting a free ad and it only made a draft.

Also I'm having some issues with the "Post a Classified" form. The continue button doesn't work at all and the only way I was able to post any ads was to hit enter. Also when the form pops up on some screens (depending on size and resolution) the user can not see the entire forum. (I will also make this question its own topic)

Ignore the second part of my last post, I stated the problems in the 2.9 bug report.

i mentioned the same issue here:
    viewtopic.php?f=9&t=281

I think we just need to an a conditional that checks to see whether or not the cost is 0. If so, publish automatically. If not, await paypal authorization.

The categories I want to be free are set at 0 (I think it is defaulted that way) but they will not auto publish.

Agreed. I will get this added in the next dot release. You shouldn't have to approve ads if the price is $0.

Unless we want moderation that is.
Na... never mind, that sounds too much like work.

But seriously, I do hope that could be an option on a per category basis. Regardless of fee or free. That way we could selectively moderate some free categories while letting others just go live. Perhaps an option on the admin category page.

    Looking forward to 2.9.1 tonight.

    Re: Payment and Publishing Question

If the category is free and not featured, it will automatically get published. Included in the 2.9.1 release tonight.
