    posting delay

i installed a few plugins but have deactivated them already..

my problem is that when someone post something there is a delay in the posting and the server seems to get loaded ..
then it sometimes hangs.. when server is reset the its fine again till someone posts an ad.

i am not sure what is wrong.. i can restore the latest backup but would like to find the what is wrong first so i can avoid it in the future.

Have you made any code modifications to ClassiPress that could be causing this?

There might be a conflict with a plugin but it sounds like you've gone through them already.

Also check in your log files and see if you have any error messages.

    I found what it was...

the site just grew too fast and it turns out that i ran out space.... increased the allocation to unlimited..
didnt think i would need that much space that soon.. the earlier allocation was 650mb...
    now set it to 10GB.

that didnt sound right... not unlimited.. from 650mb to 10gb.. but if it is set to auto expire the ads, i dont think i will need much space once the expiration of ads kick in..

    Re: posting delay

I found the cause.. it was the YARPP plugin..

I think it had something to do with the scoring / relevancy of post rating ... the delay was because it was checking all previous post for relevancy.. so the more posts.. the longer it took..

    does it make sense?

    Re: posting delay

Yeah, I've had instances where other plugins break my blog. Plugins are great but you just never know how well the code is written and if it will get along with everything else nicely.

Glad you were able to finally figure it out. Thanks for sharing the solution too.
