Site in different directory that WP

My Wordpress is installed in mysite.com/wp/ directory. I wanted my site to be in the root so I updated wordpress settings to the root folder of my site so visitors can see my classifieds as soon as they hit mysite.com
Please note that I have done this many time on other blogs so this settings are ok.

The site seem to be working ok now when I go to the root directory. However, I noticed few problems. The login and Regiter link don't work. They are linking to http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=register rather than
http://mysite.com/wp/wp-login.php?action=register

- When I am logged in, the logout function doesn't work.
- Image thumbnail in ads don't show in the ad page. However, the thumbnail is showing in the main listing page.

So, I am not sure why the theme doesn't seem to completely recognize the directory structure. Have anyone experience the same problem?

Remove it and reinstall - believe it or not, it works wonders sometimes.

Do you mean deleting the themes files and reinstalling them or reinstalling Wordpress?

I tried deactivating the theme and reactivating it but that didn't work.

ok, I went through the reinstallation process all over again with a new database. The problem is still there. The links to the login and register page don't point to the wp directory. Thumbnails don't show in the ad detail page.

Is it doable to have this classified theme work when wordpress is installed in a different directory than wordpress core files?

It's not recommended to install it in a separate directory but you can edit the header.php file and change it to match your directory structure.
