Thumbnails not showing after code changes

I've just about had it with this theme.
    email problems now...
...Still no thumbnails showing, done just about everything been advised to....
    uninstalled 2 times...more headaches.

It's making me look bad with the client - which I recommended to purchase this theme. Support is to slow, and I am on a deadline.
I really hate to see what I'm up against once I get deeper into this.

    What's the refund policy?

    Re: refund

Could I please ask, did the images work fine before you started making modifications to the code or are you saying you have been having the thumbnail issues since the installation of the original product?

Sorry you feel support is slow, we do our best to check in even now during this holiday period.

I can't speak on behalf of David regarding refunds so won't comment on that.

    Re: refund

I appreciate the support, better than nothing, but in this situation, I need resolution quickly. and this is going on for quite a while now. I have deadlines with the client, I made assurances. and I'm failing. thus loosing money.

re; images - images have not worked since day 1.
(3x) reinstalled all from scratch. followed the instructions, and support offered here - to the latter. This is in addition to the new problems I've found with email.
I'm seeing a pattern of things that are broken, and that is my concern looking forward.
I've hired someone to assist and that didn't work either.

    Re: refund

I've still got email and thumbnail problems.
my client is not happy, needless to say how i am feeling at this point in time.

can I get some help here?
someone offered to logon and take a look then got usy with holiday festivities, so I'm in limbo still.

    email:
admin gets the emails for new users
    user are not getting them
and the eails to admin have no password in them for the user to logon with anyways....

I have tried every wordpress smtp\mail\wp_mail plugin there is.. no success. I have disabled them all and still wordpress is not sending email.

I contacted my host, they are not aware of any smtp blocking or any valid reason on their end why email is not working.

can I get some help here?
    thx

    Basscleff-

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. Because of the holidays, we have been unable to help as much as we usually would be (except for Pepsi's help...thx).

I've read through your forum threads and looked at your site. It seems you've made some customization to the theme files before getting the theme setup correctly. This makes it much harder to troubleshoot problems b/c core CP code can get moved around and new plugins added.

For example, seeing /classipress/classipress in your image path tells me something in the code was changed that shouldn't have been. Anyhow, the best way to troubleshoot this is to install a fresh copy of 2.9.3 and set me up with a wordpress admin login. I'll take a look and see if I can get everything setup as it should be.

Then, once everything is configured correctly, create a backup and then start modifying the code if you like.

Regarding the emails not getting sent, I would disable any email plugin you installed. Also some host providers block emails that don't match the "@ from" address and email header sender. This is to block spam but in this case, might be blocking your legitimate emails. If this is the case, we can hardcode your email address as the "from" and that should fix it.

Anyhow, just send me a PM once you've got a login setup for me and I will take a look at it tomorrow. It's 3am here now so I'm off to bed.

    Re: refund

thx, I will let you know if I need that. My secind install was clean without customizations.

however, at present, all I need is thumbnails issue fixed.

I have resolved the email issue.
I am hesitant to reinstall for a 3rd time, very time consuming.

I am pm'ing you the site info so you can take a look.
    thx

    Re: refund

It's all fixed now. You had changed some code on index.php which was causing the thumbnails to not appear.
