    Ugh! Spam Post

I have been having an issue like once or twice a week where all of a sudden 10-20 spam post will show up with just random letters and numbers. (i.e. eh7ey78eghiueg)

I am just curious if you think adding a captcha instead of adding the numbers would work better?

I have also heard that if you add a Preview Post Step to posting it eliminates most spam because the spam bots do not proceed to the actual second page to submit the spam post. Not sure if that is true or not just something I have heard.

    Just Curious,

    Chad

Have you tried using Bad Behaviour plugin?
Please help our moderating team work more efficiently by not sending us support questions via PM. You can read more about how AppThemes support works here. However, you can send a PM to follow up and remind me if I missed your support request/thread.

Thank you and have a nice day.

No, I have never heard of that plugin until now. Curious if others have used this plugin with success?

    Thanks,

Not sure if the Bad Behaviour plugin helps with spam per se, but I do use it on all my WordPress powered sites and it does cut down on the amount of bots hitting my sites, so if you run WordPress sites, it's a really good plugin to have installed.

I get them occassionally, but they are sent via my contact page as opposed to through CP itself (which I have set so users have to be registered to e-mail sellers).
