Update Classipress version without effecting current changes

Hello,

This theme is working great and I am getting exciting on newer release and features.
I received v2.8.1 and really like to update to it but I had change styling and layout little bit and I am not sure how can I update latest version without effecting my changes.

Do you have any instruction on manual update?
I am not touching any core files but only some style sheet and theme/index, single, category files..

Where did you recive version 2.8.1? i didn't recived anything after 2.0.7

I know everyone is getting anxious and wants the latest version 2.8.1. You will get an email tomorrow with the upgrade and instructions. There were a couple of bugs that needed to be fixed which is why the small delay in releasing to existing customers.

If you've done custom work to your theme, it will be more challenging to do. I recommend using WinMerge which allows you to compare two files and see the differences.

However, at least can you tell me which file did you change from last version in the change log? Like,

If you're on a mac you can use textwrangler to compare files.
