Why doesn't the master.css show up in wordpress theme editor

Why doesn't the master.css show up in the wordpress theme editor?

Do I have to go and manually edit the file from my computer then re-upload the file to my theme folder everytime I want to make a change?

i dont know because i dont use the wordpress theme editor.

but for me anyway, having filezilla open and a browser open, editing and upoading files, and seeing the results is very simple and quick.

I wondered the exact same thing and have been doing it the same way herb is. It's pretty easy really, and notepad is easier to work in anyway.
