Is WP Super Cache the solution?

    Hi,

My website load time has become lightly unstable. I have normally 6K unique visitors daily. Could WP Super Cache plugin solve the problem and speed up load time? Also from you experience, does this plugin interfere with Classipress?

Thanks for any kind of advice.

I highly recommend using wp-super cache. It will definitely speed up your page load time and increase performance. WordPress in general makes a lot of database calls and by using this plugin, it turns all your pages into static cache files which load much faster. I use it on the CP demo site and the main CP site.

You might also consider W3 Total Cache http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Although I don't have a way to measure or compare this plugin with others, I'm quite comfortable with it and feel that it has improved my site performance.

What I like is that you can cache most of your site content to a content delivery network (CDN) like Amazon S3 for extra performance gains.

If your host provider allows it or you have your own server, you can load a cache program called memcached for both PHP and Database caching. It caches objects in the server's memory instead of disk. Shared hosting providers will not likely have this available to you. http://memcached.org/, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memcached

    Just my two cents...
