Changing the visible name to the "member ID"
In the ads it will show the name of the person that submitted the ad. I would prefer for this to show the USER ID of the person that submitted the ad.

Has anyone made this change that could point me in the right direction?

In single.php you could change
Code:

<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, "name", true); ?>
to
Code:

<?php the_author_ID(); ?>
and get "1" for a name with a link to domain.com/?author=1
