pricing: different length for different categories

We have short term ads (1-2 months) and long term ads (6 months-1 year). Can we set durations on either each ad or a category of ads, or are all ads set to a single duration?

I am also interested in creating custom pricing for different lengths of time.

I would like to have custom prices for the following:
30 days: $$
3 months: $$
6 months: $$
12 months: $$

Is this possible with the current coding of the theme?

I agree, but with another model...

newspaper ads are priced by ad catagory, but sorted by item catagory - so "Auto" "full page" are two different elements, one for sorting and one for pricing

Regular Size Black and White Ad: $
Regular Size Color Ad: $$
Jumbo Size Black & White Ad: $$$
Jumbo Size Color Ad: $$$$
Jumbo Size Color Ad On Front Cover: $$$$$

then sorted by category...
