Quick Tut! - RSS feeds for categories
Some people have asked "how to provide an RSS feed for categories"

Here's how:
Open the header file at classipress/header.php
Paste the following anywhere above the closing </head> tag:

<?php if (is_category()) { ?><link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS 2.0 for category" href="<?php print $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] . '/feed' ?>" /><?php }; ?>
Save and upload.

Of course, it's best NOT to edit core files and I take no responsibility for any problems caused by using this Quick Tut!

But where are you putting that link? The RSS feed button is in the header and shows the same link for every category/post/page on the site.

so what does it do? Different from category/feed?

I love to help out you out but please read this first Have you tried to install in a root domain? Have you tried to Resave permalinks? Have you tried to disable all plug in? Have you tried the default theme of Wordpress?

Does anyone now why the feeds for classipress come back "feeds do not validate".
Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found
in feedburner and when I try to validate them in feedvalidator I get the same?
When I type in the url into a browser it works. http://domain.com/feed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://domain.com/category/maine/feed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Confused///

Any info appreciated.
