    Recipient Addresses

I could use some help. I launched my website yesterday and had a few people register. But when people register or post and ad, emails aren't being sent to my correct email address as they had when I tested the site. They are now going to my default email address saying:

A message that you sent contained no recipient addresses, and therefore no
    delivery could be attempted.

Not sure what's going on. I checked with my webhost- host gator and they said it is a scrip, because there test emails all went through.

2 days ago i tried to add google webmaster to my site and added the code, perhaps in the wrong area. I put it in the header page from my wordpress dashboard, editor section and updated it. I went and removed it today- just incase that was the problem, but it's still not working.

    Any ideas???

    Thanks,
    JAX

    Re: Recipient Addresses

Is the e-mail address for the WordPress account actually set to the one you want? Did you make any changes to pluggable.php?

You could try actually replacing the header.php file with the original as well.

    Re: Recipient Addresses

    Hi Pepsi,

    Thanks for your response.

The email address in wordpress, general-setting is the correct one.

I don't know what the pluggable PHP is?
Recently I added the google xml sitemap plugin. I don't think that had any effect.

I went ahead and copied and pasted the original header file and then updated file with in wordpress.

    Still no change.

    any other ideas?

    Re: Recipient Addresses

I only asked about the pluggable.php because I know some people edit this to achieve other things with the WP registration e-mail.

No, I wouldn't think the sitemap plugin would cause any issues. Do you have any other plugins installed which relate to the e-mails in any way? Perhaps the Change WP email from details plugin? I understand there is a conflict with this an CP 2.9.3.

    Re: Recipient Addresses

I have 2 plugins which relate to emails
Change WP Mail From Details and
    WP-EMail

both have been up from the beginning with no problems. I went ahead and deactivated both, but still no change.

If I have to re-upload classipress will I lose the ads I have installed and the people who registered?

Alright that was it, it seems to be working. Thanks for your help with this. What's strange is I've had that plugin working fine for a couple of weeks and it didn't start messing up till this morning.

Do you have any opinions for an alternative?

    Re: Recipient Addresses

Thanks for the update. So it was definitely the welcome email editor plugin then? If so, did you re-activate the other plugins and everything still works fine? Also, had you recently upgraded your version of ClassiPress to 2.9.3?

Ultimately when it comes to plugins, you don't really know which ones will work for sure until you try it. Apart from the ones actually recommended to go with CP in the resources page, they're not all tested.

Hopefully if another member of the community knows of any alternatives they will post here. I don't know of any personally.

    Re: Recipient Addresses

    Hey Pepsi,

I hadn't seen you replied to my last post till now. My site is running well, but occasionally I still get the recipient address issue. Not sure why some registered users and new posts go through and others don't?

I'm using the newest version of classipress.

Hopefully when the next version of classipress comes out, all of those little bugs will be worked out.

    Jax
