Need Mod to remove voting

I am trying to use Clipper to create a local brick and mortar store coupon site. I understand it is designed as an affiliate site. I think I can make this work though. One thing my client does not want is the voting and % success elements. My efforts to remove them so far have only resulted in site crashing errors. I only have a passing amount of knowledge of coding. Can anyone give advice on how to hobble these elements?
