Using MailChimp- disable login/registration?
All-
Just installed Clipper on a brand new installation. This is more of a question of product strategy than technical implementation which I'll go back to after the fact. Please tell me how all the below sounds, and if anyone else has done the same?
I'll be concentrating a lot of Marketing efforts through email. I've got an existing list of opt-ins, and want to grow the list through the my Clipper site. I'm going to place a MailChimp signup widget prominently on my site (I've already chosen to use MC). I'm going to remove the signup and registration links from the site since I want my system of record for accounts/emails to be in MailChimp. I also disabled Jetpack. I'm going to use ReCaptcha for new coupon additions to prevent spam and not require an account signup per the above. The other place I've found that is unguarded is the blog comment entry- I might just turn off the blog tab since I probably won't have one any time soon. Are there other areas where security (form spam) needs to be in place?
As far as social signup goes, in this model I'm limited to what MC gives me and what I can place into Clipper with some coding- correct?
Would love feedback from folks who have gone down the same path.
Thanks!
