Displaying Like Results in Frontend.
Displaying Like Results in Frontend. Like Popular Ads, I would like to maybe use the feed from the backend column display and display the top 10, or "Liked Ads" in a sidebar widget. There has to be a payoff for site visitors to engage this plugin. It may be nice for the site owner to gleam this information, but it is most relevant to ad owners.
The reasons are, being able to see which ads are favored by the site visitors as a whole. This addresses the ad owners question, if the site is even the one the advertiser should be listing on? Also, the ad owners will want to see what people are "liking", so they can improve their own ads. This improves the entire site's appeal of course and drives even more traffic.
Simply "liking" something is not enough. The site visitor needs to benefit from each click they make. The benefit is, the entire site community of visitors can see what is "Popular" based upon visitor engagement. And not manipulated by advertisers driving traffic to any ad so it gets listed as Popular, based upon page views.
So my question is, can I used the feed on the column in the backend displaying the number of "Likes", and use the feed url in a text widget in the front end, and named it, "Most Liked Voted Ads"? I'm sure there is a way to pull this data and make it more meaningful to site visitors. And more importantly, give ad owners more incentive to offering better ad content to benefit from more and faster sales. Any ideas?
Btw, I think it is good start you've done. Hopefully, my ideas will add to the richness and use of this magnificent plugin. All the best!
