revolution slider ad positions please

i am confused about the revo slider for the ad positions like i prefer to use them with your child theme. my question is, what are the default revo positions that currently come with a fresh install of eclassifiy? the reason i ask is i think i got one version with just one slider position and i got one install with about 5 default locations (but no top right banner).

these are the positions i need on almost all of our installs:

1. top right
2. main slider
3. header banner (centered)
4. footer banner

really becoming confused about this and also, to clarify, we can/should update to the latest wp versions (3.9) and it wont cause us any proplems correct? but if we ever update our eclassify version, we lose our banner positions and they have to be redone all over again?
