How do I get an AppThemes forum account?

Forum accounts are only available to existing AppThemes customers. If you are interested in becoming a customer and have a question about one of our products, you can ask us via our pre-sales contact form.

Existing Customers

If you are currently an AppThemes customer, an account has automatically been created for you. Your forum login username is the same as your customer account login.

If you aren't sure what your username is, you can retrieve your login details by using the Forgot your Password tool. Enter the email address you originally used to purchase AppThemes. This is usually your PayPal email address.

If you are unable to remember your original email address or are just having trouble logging in, please send us a message with your full name and possible email addresses used to purchase our themes.

How do I post a question in the AppThemes forum?

Existing Customers

If you would like to receive support regarding your AppThemes purchase, you need to first login to your account. Your forum login username is the same as your customer account login.

If you aren't sure what your username is, you can retrieve your login details by using the Forgot your Password tool. Enter the email address you originally used to purchase AppThemes. This is usually your PayPal email address.

If you are unable to remember your original email address, please send us a message with your full name and possible email addresses used to purchase our themes.

Pre-Sales Questions

If you are not yet an AppThemes customer, you can send us a message via our pre-sales contact form. One of our support reps will typically reply within 24-48 hours.

I can't access my old forum account

If you had an account on the old ClassiPress forum and you are unable to access it, then you need to contact our support team. This was due to you having two different email addresses in our system (one for your purchase and one for the forum) so we couldn't match them up during our migration to the new forum.

In other words, you likely have two forum accounts that need to be merged together which we can easily take care of for you. Please send us a support request and include your old ClassiPress forum username and any email addresses you may have used during your registration/purchase.

Why does my username have "Not a Verified Customer" below it?

This means we were not able to verify your account after we moved to the new forum. If you are indeed a customer and would like to reclaim your forum username, please send us a request to take care of this.

Once we can verify your account, the
 Not a Verified Customer
will be replaced with your proper customer rank.

Can I sell my products in the forums?

No. Selling products or services in the AppThemes forums are prohibited. Our goal is to use the AppThemes forums to provide customers with outstanding support for our themes and Marketplace plugins and child themes.

Threads that are perceived to be selling products or services will be removed.

We encourage members to recommend plugins, child themes or other products that help solve a customer's problem. However, we caution users from using this exception to get around the no selling rule.

The no selling rules also extend to signatures.
  • Links to sites that sell goods or services related to WordPress, AppThemes, hosting, or similar are prohibited
  • You may link to your own AppThemes powered sites – we encourage you to share what you have done with our themes
  • Any link with affiliate data is absolutely and completely prohibited

The appropriate channel for selling plugins and child themes related to AppThemes products is through the AppThemes Marketplace. If you have a plugin or child theme that you would like to offer to AppThemes customers, please read our Marketplace Sellers Guide and our Marketplace Terms of Service. Full instructions on how to become an AppThemes Marketplace Seller can be found on those pages.

If you are a customer looking for extra help with your site, please consider the businesses listed on the AppThemes Partners page. Our Community and Certified Partners can help you with many things including:
  • Theme customization
  • Advanced configuration and optimization
  • Child theme development
  • SEO and analytics
  • Data importing
  • And much more...

User Ranks and Titles

Each customer is rewarded by his or her contribution to the forum. The more questions and answers you post, the higher your "rank" goes up. Every new customer starts out as a "Newbie" until they contribute a minimum of 5 posts. Below you will see how each rank progresses for each level.

- Newbie (0 - 4 posts)
- Rookie (5 - 9 posts)
- Amateur (10 - 19 posts)
- Junior Member (20 - 49 posts)
- Member (50 - 99 posts)
- Senior Member (100 - 249 posts)
- Veteran - (250 + posts)

Why do we have user ranks & titles?
It's a fun way to encourage forum involvement and it also helps our forum moderators gauge the customer's level of experience. Somebody brand new will usually need their questions answered in more detail vs a response to a Senior Member.

So work hard and respond to as many forum threads as you can to build up your rank and establish a good reputation!
