I just purchased it and I'm having problems...
It seems your new file is the same name as my old file so, I went to filezilla to rename the old to clipperOLD. Next I downloaded your file and followed your simple instructions to disable core style sheets. Now, I am dead in the water.
I get nothing new; just the same old configuration. I reviewed wordpress.org installation of the childtheme, giving your child them a new name clipper-child and copying the four files within the example child theme folder and it appears that this is just the example that usually comes with 1.4. Where is your child theme?
