Adding 'STATE' Dropdown To Top Search Bar

Hey guys,

I've tried searching and searching through the forums but I can not find what I am looking for. I'm not the best with code so please excuse my lack of proper wording.

So, there was a forum member who posted up a small amount of code that basically added a state dropdown function to the top search bar. From memory it worked by adding the 'cp_state' as a keyword to the user's search. So for example when the user searched 'iPhone' in category 'Phones' and then chose 'California' as their state, their search results would return iPhones, in the Phones category, only under the chosen 'cp_state' variant.

Does anybody have the code or link to the thread? I'm looking for a code or plug in that ads custom search function to the top search bar.

Note:
I'm not looking for an advanced search sidebar widget or plug in. I'm currently using statify and WP Custom Search however these are not very functional and do not directly effect the top MAIN search bar.Untitled.jpgUntitled.jpg
