Create Child theme prior to installing classiestate & plugins or after ?

I have purchased Classipress, Classiestate and Dynamic Multi-level Fields plugin. I know that it is suggested that you set up a child theme before making any changes so that updates to the parent theme will not affect your changes to the child theme.

My question is this: do I create the child theme prior to installing Classiestate and Multi Level plugin
or after installing classiestate only, or after installing both classiestate and Multi-level plugin.
