Custom Fields remove "state"

Hi,

Im setting up Classipress to be used in a small country that has no states.

Since "state" is mentioned as being a part of classipress core, I cant remove the field.
This has to do with google maps if I understand correct, but since my classipress site will only be used
in a small country, with no states (we are also translating the whole thing ), I would like to remove this field anyways.

How would I go about that?
