    default widget (popular/comments/tags) options?

    Reading through forum I found that deleting code can get rid of that pest which is not showing in the normal widget area being an integral part of the theme.
    But that is extreme. I would appreciate this widget as long as I could modify it leaving JUST comments and tags or at least being able to modify the Popular layout. As default it shows huge excerpt from the blog posts which is just repeating what is already on the blog main page area and takes much too much space.

    At the moment there is little content but with time that widget will take my whole sidebar if I can't make it display JUST the post title not the whole 7 lines of it.
