I want to change the slug of the Categories page, so when people visit it (or look at its URL), they see example.com/models instead of example.com/categories.
Actually, I am running a multisite installation, so the URL would be example.com/site1/models; but I'm OK asking from the single site perspective since I think that's a more common case.
WordPress provides an option to edit the slug of a page. I took a screenshot of this option - see attached image.
Have any of you done this before (i.e. edited the slug of the Categories page)? I want to know whether you encountered any bugs (e.g. broken links anywhere else on your site). Basically I want to get a feeling of how safe/tested this is.
Note:
1. This is not the "Category base" option on the Permalinks setting page.
2. This is not the "Ad Categories slug" option in the ClassiPress settings.
