Filter on construction date same as price

Dear people,

I am working on a boat selling classifield website. The regular function are going great but now i'm on a point where the out of the box functions aren't enough anymore.

What i would like:

Het classifields are from people who like to sell boats. Year of construction and length are important filter options. I would like the filtering to be somehing like: http://www.botentekoop.nl/rubriek/motorkruisers or the same way as the pricing.

Also for the form it should only be possible to add years instead of text, like 1995 and not 9-9-1995 or ninetheen....

Ofcourse this is possible but is there a easy way?
