    How to delete the "Uncategorized" category

    I believe the way you can delete the "Uncategorized: category is to go to Settings > Writing and select a different category as your "Default Post Category" - I selected Blog. Then when you go back into Posts > Categories you can simply delete that Uncategorized category from your site.
