    Make Header Full Width

    I'd like to add a photo across the top of my site. Can anyone give me a hint on how to do this Please?

    I also want to put ads down the left side of the page. Can anyone tell me how to do this please? I also need to take up the full page with so where could I change the settings to make the content cover the full page?
