Prevent URL from changing

Is it possible to add a snippet that will prevent the URL from changing if the USER edits the ad?

Once title is edited, the URL changes, and the previous URL I worked hard to Index on Google is now a 404 page.

Taking away the option to edit the ad is a terrible solution; users want to be able to edit. I cannot take this away.

so I end up working over and over again to get the same ad indexed.

small snippet: "IF user edits TITLE of ad in front end, slug does NOT change".
