    text widget size on page too big

    Im trying to customise a text widget for the body of the homepage by putting a table with 3 columns using html. I want it to display similar to the way the Home-Latest Listings widget displays which has quite large margins to the right and the left of the page. But the table takes the full width of the page regardless of what width I give the table and columns. Is there extra code I need to put in there?
