    IS there a way to Disable Empty Categories from hover menu?

    Ok, so im setting up my classifies site and have entered a bunch of possible categories to be posted to. it looks a bit sily with tons of empty categories when you hover over the category button at the top.

    Is there a way to stop them showing unless they have at least one post in them? I see in the admin you can stop sub cats showing but not main top level cats.

    I read about hide_empty in the functions file and changing it from 0 to 1, but that has no effect.

    Would appreciate any help.
