I couldn't find any thread about this problem in this forum by searching on "editor", so I'm raising this one.
When viewed in the wp-admin, all of the core Classipress pages (e.g. create-listing, add-new-confirm, etc) are showing as blank in the editor (regardless of whether I click the Visual tab or the Text tab). However, the content of my two own pages (About-us and Terms-and-Conditions) display correctly in the editor (not blank).
I have tried many possible solutions I found on Google, which have worked for most other people:
- upgrading Wordpress to the latest version (4.3.1)
- disabling all plugins
- chatting with my webhost technical support staff and granting them temporary access to my site (they then had reason to believe this was a Classipress issue)
- later, updating classipress to the latest version (3.5.1) (by renewing my Appthemes membership)
None of these solutions worked.
It is an old site (haloindohongkong.com), and it has been a few years since I last update the core pages contents, such as create-listing. At that time, create-listing used to be called add-new in the older version of classipress (I don't remember the previous version's number). I had parked the project, but would like to revive it now, and just need to modify the create-listing content first.
The editor was working fine before, and I hadn't made any changes since then. I didn't want to update Classipress, because I didn't want to have to redo a couple of changes to core code I had made for the look-and-feel. I am guessing the problem might have been caused by a wordpress update, but not entirely sure.
The site has always been in Indonesian. I wonder if language is somehow not being considered when a new version of Classipress is created, causing some problem with linking from core pages to their contents in the database.
