Howto change store base url for stores

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the base of the store urls ?

Today they look like this:
www.coolnewdomain.com/stores/coolstore1

And I want it to look like this :
www.coolnewdomain.com/coolstore1

Without the "stores" in the url.

I have looked under settings but there it is not possible to completely remove the base name of the url.
