Translating Coupon Types

I've managed to translate everything else but when I try to change the name and path from the backend Coupon Types -page the theme wont recognize the different types anymore. All coupons just become Promotions after the translation. Is it possible to translate these somehow? I'm thinking i'd have to change sohething from the theme files to tell the theme which translated type is which but don't have a clue how.
