    Under Search Settings - What Does Exclude Pages Mean?

    So what exactly does the "Exclude Pages" function checkbox do under the Search settings??? Which pages, please advise so I'm clear on this, thanks!

    Second question, what is the difference between the site attribute in Wordpress for "Public" or "Mature"? What is the distinction and when do you use either?
