Use Destination URL under Store or Coupon for affiliate link??

i only found one other thread, not answered by a moderator, so I am hoping someone can confirm this for me.

i realize it is required to have a Destination URL when entering a Coupon, so as an admin adding affiliate links should I just use the Coupon Destination URL for my Affiliate link and keep the store Destination URL blank, or should I put the Affiliate link where it belongs under the Store Destination URL and use the main website URL for the Coupon, or should I put the Affiliate link under both the Coupon and Store Destination URLs?

moreover, because several of the affiliate links we'll be using need to go to a "specific page" that is part of the affiliate link, does that mean i should be using the Coupon Destination URL as the Affiliate link??

just want to be sure before spending too much time with entering a few to test out.
