Header Nav (& Splash image) widget disapeared from homepage

Header Nav (& Splash image) widget disapeared from homepage. It is also not showing up in my customizer.
I think this may have coincided with a WordPress 4.2.2 update but not sure.
The HeaderNav widget shows in my widget section of dashboard but not appearing on homepage.
