Primary Recipient in the Chained Payment responsible for chargeback
in the instructions for (Escrow) Chained paymaint
Your instruction in part says.
- Who pays the fee?
- Leave empty OR choose Primary Receiver OR Each Receiver (other options do not work with delayed chained payments). If you do select an option make sure it matches the ‘Payer’ option you’ve selected on your HireBee PayPal Adaptive Settings.
- Who is the primary receiver?
- The primary receiver is your site (you) so here you need to add your application name (e:g: my-freelance-marketplace).
- Who is (are) the secondary receiver(s)?
I have put down what you said above and in the
Who is responsible for chargebacks or refunds? Question I put down service provider I then the next day after submitting got this message
Please be aware that as the Primary Recipient in the Chained Payment, you would be the Merchant of Record and as such, responsible for 100% of chargebacks and refunds, regardless of how much of the payment you retain to your account. If this is not what you wish, please set the Sellers as Primary Recipient instead. Otherwise, please amend your selections in the ‘Who is responsible for chargebacks and refunds' area of the submission form. Please note: You will need to click the App Name in the ‘My Applications’ area in order to expand and edit the fields of your submission form.
so as I read this I should put in the Primary receiver as the
service provider and the site owner (my-freelance-marketplace) as the secondary receiver, and set
Who is responsible for chargebacks or refunds? as
service provider?
In order for chargebacks to go to the service provider if there is a problem with the work. Correct?
