Desired Salary Field Input Values on Resume Submit

I am looking to change the way Desired Salary is input in the Salary field on the submit resume form. As it is, it only accepts numeric values, and anything different to a number will return an error message. I'd like to change it to accept any value: numeric, text, symbols, etc. So if someone types "$25/hour", that would be the value displayed on the Desired Salary field on their resume.

    Any help greatly appreciated!
