How to keep server load low ?
Hi all,
I purchased the Jobroller theme and Jobright child and FXtender about a week ago and have been steadfastly getting on with putting up a site.
I'm hosting it from my reseller account at Hostgator but Hostgator support has wrapped my fingers as CPU activity and load seem to be excessive in their eyes and been rather trigger-happy to block the site. I basically added all the no-cost plugins that come with the club membership. Hostgator gave me this below so i wonder which of these plugins can go . They pinpoint the theme itself, fxtender and the forum as main culprits. Any suggestions most welcome
Thanks,
Tejpal
First, try to reduce the total number of active plugins on your blog. I ran a Wordpress profiler against your site and got the following results:
Plugins and theme breakdown:
theme 16.54% 4.1332 seconds average
Profiler 0.02% 0.0055 seconds average
GeoReg 1.0 0.06% 0.0150 seconds average
Akismet 0.31% 0.0781 seconds average
bbPress 8.20% 2.0503 seconds average
Careerjet Publisher 0.17% 0.0429 seconds average
CloudFlare 0.30% 0.0758 seconds average
Fxtender Pro 6.77% 1.6914 seconds average
Google Sitemap Generator 0.00% 0.0010 seconds average
Slick Sitemap 0.33% 0.0831 seconds average
Visual Form Builder 1.27% 0.3186 seconds average
Wp Super Cache 1.60% 0.4000 seconds average
The plugins that are causing the most load are BBPress and Fxtender Pro. You may want to find alternatives to these plugins or remove them if they are unnecessary. Additionally, despite being cached your theme is using a significant amount of resources. You may want to switch to a less intensive theme, of if that is not an option, contact the theme developer for assistance in getting the usage down.
