    Question Index.php Empty?

    Hi -
    i'm trying to work on putting Featured ad sliders on every page, but when i went into index.php, there was only:

    <?php

    /**
    * this file has intentionally been left blank
    * to prevent directory browsing
    *
    */

    ?>

    Why is that?
    Is it because of my plan?
    im on 3.5.3, small business edition?
    While i'm at it - my About page (changed to Profile: PostingBlue) has the Blogroll and Meta widget - 2 days and i cant find the controls to change/remove them - please advise asap as the parent company is launching in 4 days, and i need to sort them out asap - thanks!
