Regarding full width page

I have not updated to jobroller 1.7. I have these questions-

1) I want jobalerts to be made every 24 hours. on my site rss feeds are not updating in 24 hours (as no alert is sent). Please let me know how to do that.

2) I have simple press on my site and I need full width page for that (only for forum and not for remaining page). Please let me know how to do.
