After sucessfully registering to apply for job, return page gives 404

Hi,

I have a site that requires you to register or login before applying for a job. Once you do sucessfully register, the site refreshes and tries to go back tothe job you wanted to apply, but comes up wit a 404.

it gives me this as a URL:

/register/%2Fjobs%2Fyouth-director%2F

If I strip out the register and add forward slashes the correct page displays. Anyone deal with non working URLS after registering?
