Unsubscribe from job alerts via email

I have had two requests recently from job seekers to be unsubscribed from their job alerts. After the first request I modified the job alert email to add in a link to the dashboard and details on how to unsubscribe, but this is a complex process - see the user comment below:

" There is a link to unsubscribe (job alert email), however the rigmarole you must go through is ridiculous. I am trying to unsubscribe, yet can't actually find anywhere to once I'm logged in. You should be able to select unsubscribe in the email and be taken directly to your subscription details. I did think, if I can't get anywhere, I will just spam the emails. But that's not what you need."

Is there either:

a) a way to let users unsubscribe from the job alerts from the email
b) if not, can I please request a future development request to do the above, OR even better, make this whole unsubscribe process easier...
