Comments not reviews

I don't want people to post reviews but I would like them to be able to post ordinary Wordpress comments.

I'm sure this was working before the latest update - I know because some of my earlier listings have comments on them! Now, though, my more recent listings all show "comments closed" at the bottom of the listing. See below:

I've checked my Wordpress settings for Comments and it's set to allow comments. I've edited the individual listing and can't see anywhere to turn comments on or off.
