Complete tutorial Migrating from localhost to cloud website.
This question is surely answered in other themes forums but I can't read them!!!
I have three particular doubts.
- If I use admin-backend >> Tools >> Export, I get a xml file with no media and references to my localhost URL. When I import this xml file in my Live site... what will it happen to these references to my localhost? Does the import tool change them to the Live server URL?
- How can I migrate media to Live server?
- What happens to Data Base? Does the import tool create the necessary database with all its tables, fields, etc. in the live server?
Where do I find a tutorial(s) for vantage or WordPress about this subject? I found
this vantage tutorial and
this WordPress tutorial, but the former doesn't answer my questions, and the latter is all about blogs hosted in wordpress.com
