Custom form fields - allow blanks

I noticed that it's not possible to create a blank option when creating a custom form field. I'm trying to make a custom form for my Restaurant category, including a dropdown form field with price range options. If a restaurant owner doesn't want to fill in this information, I'd like to be able to offer them a choice to keep this field blank. The Custom Forms editor, however, doesn't allow this.

    Any possible workaround?

I hope that Vantage will be updated to include this improvement: allow dropdown lists to have blank fields.
