    Default Map

The front page below the search template shows a map of the United States by default. I am on an island over 1000 miles away and would lihe to have a map of the island instead.

Is there any way to localize the map and avoid all the shifting and zooming in and out?

If not, is there any way to remove this map and replace it with something really useful?
