Links not directing to correct page, Pages not found
Categories disappearing. All of the above.
Seems I am having the same issues that "vikyj" was having. I have tried everything to fix the problem but no luck. My next step at the moment is to stomp my feet and start crying but I don't think that would help.
I noticed that the category page was suddenly pointing to another link where there were no categories. Got very confused why that would have happened out of the blue, but I just shrugged it off and decided to delete the vantage theme and uploaded it again which fixed the issue with duplicate pages such as /create-listing-2 etc, /create-listing-2. Don't appreciate -2 at the end of my permalinks so I fixed that deactivated and re-installed vantage again.
Everything was back to normal once again. (happy me!) Went into a page created by vantage ex categories, change a few keywords for the seo updated the category page and all the listing categories disappeared once again from the page. Thought it was a plugin so I deactivated all plugins then went to another page created by vantage (event-categories), just click "quick edit" and then 'update" and all of the event categories disappeared from the page. (Not so happy me!!)
This disappearing act only happens with the vantage pages created.
Decided to fallow vickyj suggestion and deactivated my childrtheme and reactivated it again. Went into may pages section and saw all these new pages that were being created by vantage again. Another login page, another create listing page, another create event page etc all of course with permalinks -2 again. The childtheme is for minimal changes such as styles, footer and header which has been updated accordingly.
When I installed the vantage theme and the pages are automatically created such as login, create-event the theme Template defaults to a blank template. Everything works when the pages are created. Template before edit and update.jpg
When I quick edit and update a vantage page the "Template' goes to a default template. This is where I lose all my information. Template after edit and update.jpg
Furthermore, Vantage theme keeps indicating that there is an update available. There is not an update available. I am already using 1.4.1. This notice is for the vantage theme by siteorigin. Why do I keep getting this notice over my vantage appthemes theme?
